How do I create a partition

    Hi!
    Being a total newbie at computers, I am unaware of how to create a partition, so I can keep the OS in C drive and my other programs on separate drives. I have a PC with windows Vista on C drive and a factory backup on D drive.

    Shall appreciate any assistance in this regard.

    Creating a partition requires resizing an older partition to create empty unpartitioned disk space on your drive, then formatting the disk space under a new drive letter.

    Follow this article to shrink the old partition:

    Then right click on the unpartitioned empty space and select "Format" to create the new partition.

    I HAVE ALREADY DONE PARTITION OF C DRIVE INTO
    TWO MORE DRIVE ( 10G.B. & 25G.B.)BUT I CANNOT FURTHER PARTITION MY C DRIVE WHICH STILL IS OF 115 G.B. , THOUGH IT CONTAINS ONLY 27 GB FILES IN IT.
