    Hi Guys,

My son has a new laptop with Windows Vista Home. While he is installing all programs to D:\, C:\ is almost used up. We have tried the Manage properties to increase this drive (after shrinking D drive), but this option is greyed out.

We have also tried using Diskpart.exe but this keeps coming up with the message that there is no more space available on this disk.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    Neil

    Hi,
I had the same problem and found a posting that hgelp me. In fact, the partition in vista work like the "domino" effect. A "free" space at the end of D: cannot jump back to C:.
So, if you want to extend C:, you may:
    1) first delete D:
    2) add more space to C:
    3) with what is left, create a new partition D:
