Vista Home Premium 32

When I access a CD (music or data) or DVD (video or data) in windows explorer, the contents display normally. But if I remove that disk and insert another, Vista adamantly continues to display the contents of the previous disk. Clicking on another drive and returning doesn't help; F5 doesn't help; ejecting and reloading the disk doesn't help. Rarely, closing and restarting explorer will refresh the disk contents. Usually I must restart windows before explorer will refresh this display.
