Convert web widgets, videos, and flash games into sidebar gadgets

The sidebar gave quick and easy access to “gadgets” that users could have to display the weather, computer stats, or to increase productivity. But what good is the sidebar without a vast library of “gadgets?” Luckily, the folks over at Mesa Dynamics came out with Amnesty Generator, a tool that allows you to “easily convert millions of web widgets, games and videos – designed to live on home pages, blogs or MySpace – into gadgets for your Sidebar.”

New Windows Vista Wallpapers in High Resolution

I made a post a few days ago linking it to Hamad Darwish’s Flickr profile with all the wallpapers he shot that didn’t make it into Windows Vista. They were truly amazing pictures and it was something I thought the community would have enjoyed; so I submitted the article to digg and to date it has around 2600 diggs. Unfortunately, all there was were thumbnails. So I emailed Darwish personally if he could host the files up for download. 6 days later, those wallpapers are now available for download in high resolution (1920X1200). I’m not exactly sure if it was I who convinced him to share his work.

He has hosted these wallpapers on his personal website.

If you thought the Vista wallpapers were amazing, wait till you look at these. Besides the photos that you’ve already seen, the same photographer had uploaded all the other photos he had taken for the Vista project that didn’t make it into the OS.
