Enable hidden Vista boot screen

I actually find it very odd that Windows Vista has a completely black boot-up screen. What is more queer is that Microsoft actually does have a boot-screen available, however, you will have to compromise the scrolling bar you usually see running when you boot up windows.

Enabling the hidden boot screen is simple.

  1. Press the Start Orb
  2. Run msconfig. Or type msconfig in the Search bar and press enter.

  3. Click on the boot tab.

  4. Check the box beside No GUI boot.

Now you have just unlocked Vista’s hidden boot-up screen!
